A Long Time Coming!!

Well, 3 years and 8 months after getting laid off because of the economy, Rob started a new job a week ago!!  He works at Farr's Ice Cream in Ogden doing building maintenance.  It is a get by job while we finish school, but we are so grateful and happy for it!!!!  Just how long has it really been?  Well, I looked up some pictures of my kids from right around when we lost our job, and compared them with current pictures.  Let's take a look!
Here are Eden and Isaac then, ages 4 and 2.
And here is Eden now!  She is 7 years old, but will be turning 8 and will be getting baptized in 3 months!
Here is Isaac now.  He just graduated from Kindergarten.  His 6th birthday is on the 20th of this month!

EmmaLee then, at 1 year and 2 months.
Here is EmmaLee now!  She'll be 5 in August, and will be starting Kindergarten in August as well!
And, here is Ammon now.  He was still a twinkle in our eyes when we lost our job, and here he is now, already 2 years old!
It has been a long road we have traveled for over 3 years!  I can see where the Lord has guided and blessed us, and I am so grateful for those who helped make the path a little less bumpy.  One lesson I have learned is that no matter what happens, life will go on.  You can survive things, even when they are extremely difficult and something you never thought you would have to do or face.  I'm so grateful for my family.  Even when things have been stressful for Rob and I as we've tried to figure out what we needed to do, our kids have been kids!  They learn, grow, laugh, cry, fight, and everything in between!  They have helped me to remember that life can go on even in hard circumstances, and I have learned that the things that really matter and are important, especially in the eternal scheme of things are possible no matter what your temporal circumstances!

I'm so glad for your family. Your children have changed so much, it's hard to believe. Congratulations Rob! Hope you enjoy your new job.

Your kids are so cute - these pics make me smile.

So happy for you and Rob and the new job. Man, I'm ready for this economy to pick up!

I may be needing your advice on how to live with my mother-in-law. She is awesome in every way, I am just worried about the transition. I think it's particularly difficult to have grown up women living together (as I learned when I was still living with roommates when I was 30...). :)
